Communications plan
CCMS-SEC-SOP-001 §7
Primary, secondary, contingency, emergency. You will not invent a net during gunfire or a nursery code.
- 1
Primary: short-range radios. Low volume. Plain language. Callsigns confirmed in the Sunday huddle.
- 2
Secondary: a runner. If the radio is a circus, walk.
- 3
Contingency: a pre-shared text thread for the team. Not a public church group chat.
- 4
Emergency: AV booth can put a short instruction on the screen or a child's check-in code without a speech.
- Medical: radio the on-call medic and send a runner. 911 is not a radio code; it is a phone call.
- Children in distress: text or display the check-in code. Do not announce a child's name over the house.
- If radios fail in a critical incident, the plan is still 911, then runners, then the Team Leader's voice.
This field guide does not replace 911, a medical director, or licensed clinical judgment. It does not authorize anyone to practice beyond license and current training.
